01 The challenge
Fat Rabbit was opening from scratch in Madrid and wanted charging sorted before the first coffee, not after. Two conditions that aren't the norm: the business runs in English — whoever works the POS every day doesn't work in Spanish — and they wanted to control the cost of every dish from day one, not find it out at the end of the month. They needed neither a website nor bookings.
02 Our solution
They were given the cloud POS and the Stock & Recipes module, and nothing else. The panel, the user account and the POS itself were set up in English from the ground up, not translated on top. Their menu and inventory were loaded before opening, and the floor plan was left open for them to edit themselves. Every sale decrements stock and recalculates the dish's real cost. Verifactu-certified.
Fat Rabbit is an English-speaking café in El Viso, Chamartín (Madrid). It came to us pre-opening: no venue running yet, the menu closed and an opening date in the diary. That is exactly the situation in which a POS gets chosen badly, because it gets chosen in a hurry — so it was set up beforehand.
A panel that is genuinely in English
The business runs in English. At Bouzon Digital language isn't a translation layer on top: the restaurant, the user account and the POS itself were created in English, so the panel, the receipts and the alerts come out in English from the very first launch. Whoever works the till doesn't have to guess what a button means.
POS and Stock & Recipes — no website, no bookings
Nothing was oversold. A small café that doesn't live off online reservations needs no booking engine, and they didn't ask for a website either. Two modules were enabled:
- Cloud POS — charging, receipts, cash close and floor plan, on the device they already had and with no mandatory hardware.
- Stock & Recipes — the costing of every dish with its real cost, and automatic stock decrement on every sale.
The inventory was loaded up front: 235 items in the panel before the first coffee was served, with their recipes attached. That's the difference between knowing a dish's margin the day you put it on the menu and finding it out three months later.
The floor plan is theirs to run
The floor plan was set up — 6 tables, 11 covers and the venue's own decorations — but left open: the business rearranges it whenever the room changes, without asking permission or raising a ticket. It's theirs.
Fat Rabbit opened on 29 August 2026 with the POS already broken in. And the system is certified for Verifactu, mandatory for companies from January 2027 and for the self-employed from July 2027.
