01 The challenge
A municipal-pool bar packs almost its entire year into a few summer weeks, and in those weeks it is full. They wanted to stop writing on paper, print a proper receipt and be compliant with Verifactu — without learning complicated software and without changing computers. The owner said it plainly: he isn't a tech person. And there was a date: they wanted to be printing receipts the following Saturday.
02 Our solution
Only the POS was enabled — no website, no bookings, no shop and no stock — on the Windows laptop they already had. Their whole menu was loaded from the spreadsheet they sent us: 89 products across 7 categories, with hospitality VAT applied. The floor plan was built with the 30 tables they manage to fit in high season, and the ESC/POS thermal printer they had bought was left printing receipts and kitchen tickets. They made the date.
The bar at the municipal pool in Calzada de Calatrava (Ciudad Real) is the case that best explains why Bouzon Digital doesn't sell closed bundles: here almost nothing we sell was needed, and that is exactly what they got.
Just the POS, on the computer they already had
No website, bookings, shop or recipe costing. A pool bar needs to open a table, charge, print and go to bed with the till balanced. Only the cloud POS was enabled, running in the browser of the Windows laptop already sitting at the bar — no terminal to buy, no per-seat licence and no lock-in.
The whole menu, loaded by us
They sent us the menu in a spreadsheet and it was loaded as it was: 89 products across 7 categories — drinks, sharing plates, burgers, sandwiches, set meals, ice creams and snacks — with the 10% VAT that applies to consumption on the premises. Names were cleaned up from the original sheet's abbreviations, and the business can rename them in two clicks.
A 30-table floor plan
In high season they push tables together up to around thirty. The plan was built with those 30, on a clean grid and with colour showing each table's stage — free, occupied, awaiting payment — so a single glance shows what is still to be charged. The bar itself moves and renames them from the POS.
Printing with the printer they had already bought
They had bought an 80 mm ESC/POS thermal printer themselves — the USB kind, not a network one. There was no need to return it or buy another: the bar's computer acts as the print server and the POS sends it the receipt. It was configured remotely, in a single session, on the same day as sign-up.
Seasonal: you pay when you're open
The pool closes at the end of August and the bar with it. Because there is no lock-in, the business pauses the subscription for the months it doesn't open and doesn't pay for a system nobody is using. Their data — menu, floor plan, receipts and tax details — stays intact, so next season they reopen and the POS is exactly as they left it. And it is certified for Verifactu, mandatory for companies from January 2027 and for the self-employed from July 2027.
