Built for hospitality in Nerja

From the Balcón de Europa to the sand at Burriana with one till

Nerja is the easternmost town on the Costa del Sol, and its hospitality serves several crowds at once. In the centre, visitors come to see the Balcón de Europa and want lunch without a wait; on Burriana, the beach bar lives off the summer; in Maro, next to the Nerja Caves, and after the Río Chillar walk, service is squeezed into lunchtime. And when the tourists leave, the foreign residents who eat out all year are still there. The POS has to work just as well in every one of those cases.

Verifactu at no extra cost

Part of the fee from the first ticket: AEAT verification QR, every record chained with its hash and an XAdES signature. There is no software registry to sign up to, because it does not exist. We sign the responsible declaration as the software producer and it is published at bouzondigital.com/en/legal/verifactu-responsible-declaration/; all you need is your FNMT certificate. Mandatory dates in Spain: January 2027 for companies and July 2027 for the self-employed, in Nerja, Maro and Frigiliana too.

Orders that arrive even when Burriana is packed

With the beach full, the beach bar access point cannot handle every phone. The waiter's tablet sends the order to the kitchen printer over Bluetooth SPP, without touching the router, and if the internet drops the POS keeps taking payments. Tables on the sand and the promenade are numbered your way.

With the kit already behind the bar

It runs without limitations on Android or Windows; on iOS, with limitations, because it does not print directly. No on-site server, no proprietary hardware, and updates arrive by themselves. Setup at your restaurant —Benalmádena is about 70 km away via the A-7— or by video call, in under 2 hours.

An English menu for visitors and neighbours

Nerja has a British, German, Scandinavian and Dutch community settled for decades, and in summer the visitors to the Balcón de Europa and the Nerja Caves join them. The QR menu and the booking widget in Spanish and English activate in the same POS account, with no duplicate tools.

Bookings, QR menu and till connected

If you also use Bouzon Digital bookings, the reservation appears on the POS floor plan when you seat it, and the waiter opens the ticket from that table linked to the booking (seating it does not open the ticket on its own). QR menu orders go into the same kitchen queue, with no delivery platform in between. Website, bookings, shop, POS and stock with one account and one invoice.

The same fee in August as in February

€29.99/month all year: it does not rise with the summer peak and your service does not shrink in winter. No setup fee, no contract and no hidden modules; if your venue closes for a few months, you cancel. Over two years, compared with ~€1,190 for a lightweight sector POS or ~€2,640 for a proprietary-hardware POS (advanced tier), the difference is clear — and support comes from a company in the province.

Beyond the till

The POS is just one of 8 modules

You can stay with the POS or keep adding pieces: a bilingual website, commission-free bookings, an online shop, stock, QR and reviews, all with the same login and the same invoice. For a Nerja restaurant that means no longer splitting the business between a booking app that charges commission, a delivery platform, a locally installed till and a web agency. Nerja and around

From Nerja town centre to Maro, Frigiliana and the rest of the Axarquía

Because it runs in the cloud and keeps taking payments when the internet goes, the POS works the same on a terrace by the Balcón de Europa, in a beach bar with its feet in the sand at Burriana, in a restaurant in Maro or in a bar on the steep streets of Frigiliana.

Common questions

Questions about the restaurant POS in Nerja

What does a cloud POS cost for a restaurant or beach bar in Nerja?
Two fees, no small print: €29.99/month for the POS on its own and €49.98/month for the POS with Stock & Recipes. Add a tablet and a kitchen printer and two years come to about €950; on the same basis a lightweight sector POS is around €1,190, a proprietary-hardware POS around €1,640 (entry tier) or €2,640 (advanced tier), and a premium international POS about €4,430. There is no contract: you can cancel any month. Bouzon Digital is based in Benalmádena, about 70 km from Nerja via the A-7.
Is the POS Verifactu-compliant for a bar in Nerja, or is that an extra?
It is not an extra: Verifactu is part of the fee. From the first ticket the POS prints the AEAT verification QR, chains every record with its hash and signs it with XAdES. You do not have to register the software anywhere, because that registry does not exist. The responsible declaration is signed by the software producer (art. 13 RD 1007/2023); ours is published at bouzondigital.com/en/legal/verifactu-responsible-declaration/ — worth checking, since using an uncertified system carries fines of €50,000 per year. All you need is your own FNMT certificate. The dates: January 2027 for companies and July 2027 for the self-employed, the same for a bar in the town centre as for a beach bar on Burriana.
In August the WiFi on Burriana beach cannot cope. Do orders still reach the kitchen?
Yes. With the beach full, hundreds of phones share the same access point and the beach bar router stops responding. The Bouzon Digital POS sends the order to a Bluetooth SPP kitchen printer paired with the waiter's tablet or phone, so it never goes through the router. If the internet also drops, the POS keeps opening tables, taking payments and sending orders. Tables on the sand can be numbered however you like on the floor plan.
My Nerja restaurant already has a website with another company. Can I take just the POS?
Of course. The POS is a standalone service from €29.99/month and does not require a Bouzon Digital website. If you add one later it connects by itself: bookings show up on the floor plan and the waiter opens the ticket linked to that table, and orders placed through the table QR land in the same kitchen queue.
How do I keep track of what prawns and fish really cost in a Nerja restaurant?
With the POS + Stock & Recipes plan (€49.98/month): every sale deducts its ingredients from inventory and every dish has its own costing. Indicative examples: salt-baked sea bream, 500 g, ~€4.20 cost and €16-19 sale price; fried anchovies, 200 g portion, ~€1.80 cost and €9-12 sale price; squid rings, 150 g, ~€2.10 cost and €11-14 sale price. When the price of prawns or market fish changes with the season, you update the ingredient cost and the margin of every dish that uses it is recalculated; there are also low-stock alerts and waste tracking.
Nerja has a packed summer and a winter of residents. Does the POS suit both?
Yes, because nothing changes between them. The POS is cloud-based and does not cap tickets, tables or transactions: July and August, with the Balcón de Europa and Burriana at full stretch, need no extra licences or capacity. And in winter, when most guests are foreign residents who eat out every week, you pay the same fixed fee. No contract, in case your venue closes for a few months.
Can the POS help me serve tourists and foreign residents in Nerja in English?
Yes. In Nerja the menu is read in another language both by visitors passing through the Balcón de Europa or the Nerja Caves and by the British, German, Scandinavian and Dutch community that lives in the town all year. The QR menu in Spanish and English (Shop module) and the bilingual booking widget activate in the same account as the POS: staff work in Spanish and guests read in their own language.
Why choose a POS from a company in the province of Málaga for my Nerja restaurant?
Because it can come to your venue. Bouzon Digital works from Arroyo de la Miel (Benalmádena), about 70 km from Nerja via the A-7, and does the setup in person or by video call. We know what makes Nerja different: the town centre and the Balcón de Europa with tourism arriving in waves, the Burriana beach bars in August and a winter that does not empty thanks to residents. A national vendor based in Madrid or Barcelona rarely offers that kind of proximity.
What if the internet goes down mid-service?
You keep taking payments. Offline the POS opens and closes tables, sends orders to the kitchen over the local network or Bluetooth, takes cash, card on an external terminal, Bizum and bank transfer, handles partial payments and closes the till. Every action is queued and syncs by itself when the internet is back, without ever duplicating a sale. What cannot happen offline: the fiscal receipt with the Verifactu QR (a provisional receipt prints and the fiscal one is issued on sync), QR payments via Stripe, and the Z report and historical till closes. The full table of what works and what does not is published at www.bouzondigital.com/en/pos-offline/.
